The mark of "the false christ" is the mark of "antichrist." The Papacy, or combination of the apostate Holy Catholic Church and the Pagan Roman government, is "the beast" of Revelation 13.

The beast is blind in both eyes, claiming to be "the head" of the Church of Christ. While making such a claim, he has a mouth full of blasphemy.

To agree with his errors would be to worship "the beast" and to receive "the mark of the beast."
